Products

Use products to keep track of items (or services) you sell regularly.

When you create a quote or invoice, you can find your saved products quickly and all the details are filled in for you.

Product options

Product codes (or SKUs) are optional. If you use them, add them in, otherwise leave them blank.

Wholesale prices If you sell to retailers or other businesses who sell your products with their own markup, you can set a wholesale price. Tick Wholesale pricing enabled on the contact you sell to, and they will be charged this price on quotes and invoices. Everyone else gets the unit price.

Measured quantities are useful if you sell parts of a whole. Sometimes you don’t sell items, but lengths or volumes. If that’s you, then tick Use measured quantities and you’ll be able to sell parts of a whole (e.g. 1.2 of the selected product)

Stock tracking

By default, stock is not tracked. If you want to track stock for a product, click Track stock for this product and enter your starting stock on hand when you create the product.

With stock tracking enabled, every approved invoice will decrease the stock on hand and every approved bill will increase it.

You can also adjust the stock on hand manually by clicking Adjust stock on the product page.

Product variations

Often products come with options, such as size or colour. You can create variants by defining up to three options for each product.
For example, if you sell T-shirts in different sizes (small and large) and colours (red and blue), that creates four variants: small red, small blue, large red, and large blue.
Each variant can have a different price and their stock levels are tracked separately.
